Thato Segaole started his career in media as a marketing and sales consultant for several motor manufacturer dealerships. Born in Rustenburg, North West, Thato took an initial interest in marketing by completing a postgraduate marketing degree from the University of Pretoria.

“Media and advertising were always a passion of mine. I found it intriguing that there can be so many brands and so many different markets and yet people and brands are challenged on a daily basis to get their brand out into the market and to get their relevant share of the market”. Thato followed his sales and marketing experience in the motor industry with an account executive position at YFM radio station before founding Black Market Media. The business was established in 2008 and has moved from strength to strength. Daily activities mean extensive consultation with direct clients, media owners, agencies, PR and marketing institutions. The business strives on a tailored service approach making sure that it takes on few clients with the intention of giving greater commitment and value to its projects.
