Breaking Down Borders Africa Initiative, is a Pan-African platform led by African youth for the benefit of African youth. The initiative is inspired by the vision of enabling African youth to connect and collaborate towards the prosperity of the continent. Young people on the continent are regarded as Africa’s greatest assets.
To this end, the initiative is invested in bringing all Africans together, to dissect the issues they are faced with and to find solutions that can be applied in resolving the challenges identified. Breaking Down Borders Africa, promotes arts education across the continent including Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Namibia, Uganda, Kenya. DRC, Senegal, Tanzania, Zambia and Lesotho.
Running under the Theme – “African youth, building our legacy”, The Youth summit will take place from the 14th – 18th May 2018. The summit is attended by more than 100 youth leaders from at least 30 countries. The initiative is largely supported by Brand South Africa with the parastatal commiting to supporting youth programmes that enrich and positively impact South African youth and African youth in essence. Our partnering agents are GEP, NYDA, Google Africa, Sun International, MTV Base, Youth Lab and others.
Some of the summit’s expected outcomes are to see increased inter-country trade partnerships, submit recommendations on the Youth Charter to the African Union, and to formulate a network of young African Leaders.
